Meg Kids Foundation Valentine’s Day OUTREACH

The Feast of Saint Valentine was established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496 to be celebrated on February 14 in honour of Saint Valentine of Rome, who died on that date in AD 269 and since then 70% of the word’s population has made it mandatory to show love not only to friend’s and families but also to those who neither have close families or friends.

Sharing and giving is significant in the African spirituality and we do so often as we believe that whatever you give out will definitely come back directly or indirectly.

To celebrate 2018 Valentine’s day, I and the rest of the team took to the ever-busy street of Iddo and Okomaiko in Lagos Nigeria on a sunny afternoon to show love to those whom we feel need it the most as it doesn’t come to them often, we enjoy doing this through your continuous support and we hope to continue doing this as long as the sun continues to rise for every one of us to thrive.
